This is how the direct access services work

Here we describe how the direct access services work.

Two types of questions in each post

Each service normally has two types of queries (features): find and retrieve. Exceptions occur.

Find

Questions are asked with different search criteria such as geometry or free text. In response, you get references to the objects that are affected by search criteria. References (object identities) can then be used to retrieve information about the object.

Retrieve

Questioning is done with object identity. In response, you get information about objects within the selection that has been requested. In some cases, references to other objects are also included in the answer.

What do the product descriptions contain?

The product descriptions contain specific illustrations that show how the information is connected, how questions are asked and what information is given in the answer.
