Data sets in the platform

The National Geodata Platform (NGP) contains data sets below. We have developed an e-service that provides a visual overview of the detailed plans that are available right now. The national specifications for each data set can be found via the links below.

What data is in the platform

The first set of data in the National Geodata platform is a detailed plan. In our e-service (new window) you can see and consume which detailed plans have been delivered so far (displayed as a green dot in zoomed out mode).

Existing datasets and national specifications

Detailed plan

Detailed plan information contains information about detailed plans in Sweden. The main purpose of a detailed plan is to regulate the use of land and water areas as well as buildings.

Building

The building information includes buildings with a construction that is limited by the outer walls. A building is defined according to the Planning and Building Act , PBL, as a permanent structure consisting of roofs or of roofs and walls and which is permanently located on the ground or wholly or partly underground or is permanently located in a certain place in water and is intended to be designed so that people can sustain in it.

National specifications and version control

To be part of the standardized information exchange, manufacturers need to follow the national specifications that It is possible for you as a producer to make geodata available in NGP. The specification can be changed and new versions are produced.

What are specifications and guidelines?

In the work of developing a national solution for information exchange in the community building process, national specifications are a central part.

National information architecture framework

In order to achieve a uniform and efficient exchange of information, an information architecture framework is developed. All actors should read and be aware of this framework, but the primary target group is manufacturers and system vendors.

Specifications and measurement instructions

The specifications and measurement instructions shown here are under construction and not timed when they will be completed.

The specifications will be divided into three different types:

  • information specification (describes the total information needs for the community building process).
  • computer product specification for maintenance (requirements towards the person who collects data) - future work.
  • data product specification for making available (to end users of data) - future work.

Measurement instructions - Geometric representation in exchange (in Swedish, pdf, new window)

All documents for the themes below are presented in pdf format.
