Download altitude data with FME

Elevation model Download is a service for direct reading and downloading of elevation data. This guide describes an example of how to retrieve height data from the product using FME (Feature Manipulation Engine).

The example has been made with FME version 2019.2.

The example file is called HamtaHoyddatMedWCSLasare.fmw.

Load height data and print as GeoTIFF

Note that the service only allows withdrawals of max 5120 pixels (m) per call.

To read elevation data from the service and print it as a GeoTIFF:

  1. Start FME Workbench and add a WCS reader.
